Victoria Wilson James Gets 'Deep In Vogue' With Waterson

Former Soul II Soul diva Victoria Wilson James teams up with underground electronica sensation Waterson for a rousing cover of Malcolm McLaren's 'Deep In Vogue' - his 80' hit song exploring the sub-culture of voguing and the Harlem ball scene.

Former Soul II Soul front-woman Victoria Wilson James and underground electronica act Waterson have joined forces to celebrate the legacy that is Malcolm McLaren and his 80's club smash 'Deep In Vogue'.

With remixes from New York's finest, Tom Stephan & Honey Dijon and UK House legend Terry Farley, this package has already been play-listed on Capital FM's weekend shows, Gaydar and WDA1's Top 25, featured on CD Pool two consecutive months in a row, reached No 7 on the UK Buzz Chart as well as being shown support from X-Press 2, Smokin' Jo & Ashley Beedle.

The release has been blogged about on Wild Magazine, Only For DJ's, For The Love Of House Music, Buzzin' Fly, Party Fears Two and DMC Update, bigged up as favourite on The Hype Machine, as club kids from Dalston to New York are posing and voguing once again with floor-slamming spins at Cielo NYC, Dalston Superstore and Space, Ibiza.

Victoria is no stranger to being written about or being played on the radio, clocking up dozens of Top 20's throughout the 90's and into the 00's also. From the mainstream UK singles and album charts, to the Billboard Hot 100, the US R&B chart to the UK Club & Buzz Chart, perhaps most famously with Soul II Soul in their worldwide mega-hit 'A Dream's A Dream' in 1990.

Currently, Ms Wilson James is gearing up to release a brand new solo teaser called 'Increase The Pressure', hot on the heels of her recent No 1 Billboard smash hit 'Need Someone' with Ralph Falcon, whilst Waterson's recent UK Buzz Chart hit 'When You Tell Me That You Love Me' was picked up by Island Record's Ross Allen and is due for release this spring.

Whilst Victoria is readying her one-woman-show 'Red Lipstick' and Waterson is busy planning for his repeat performance at this year's Lovebox, the pair are looking forward to performing 'Deep In Vogue' together at Lo-Profile Soho to celebrate the worldwide digital release on Monday and Ministry of Sound later in the month!
