Videocon Telecom Awarded New Number Series in Gujarat Telecom Circle

Ahmedabad, India, September 16, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Videocon Telecom, the innovative & vibrant telecom arm of the Indian conglomerate Videocon Group, has been awarded new no. series to accommodate 1 million additional subscriber demand in the Gujarat Telecom Circle. The new series’ have been awarded post the telco’s eligibility of VLR criteria’s on existing series as specified by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).

Videocon Telecom which already has 3 Number series, to accommodate 3 Million subscribers in Gujarat telecom circle, will now be able to accommodate an additional Million subscriber base with the new series of 8999.

With the new series, the telco will offer a whole lot of options to its customers to choose their favorite numbers (upto the last 6 digits) which could be their Lucky Number, date of birth, House Number, vehicle number, etc on a SMS and  USSD based application. The telco has offered an option for its Retailers to browse, search and block the number of the customer’s choice by sending a SMS to 54054 or dialing USSD code *444#.
