ViewUGE, UGE's Energy Monitoring and Control System, Wins Prestigious M2M Award from Connected World Magazine
Online, June 25, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Further proving Urban Green Energy's (UGE) strength as a leading provider of distributed renewable energy solutions, their remote monitoring and control platform, ViewUGETM, has been awarded a prestigious Value Chain Award at a ceremony in Santa Clara, California. Lauded for its integration with renewables, ViewUGE provides UGE's customers with the tools to remotely manage their on-site energy by allowing them to visualize how their renewable energy system is performing and the energy consumption of each location.
ViewUGE, launched in 2012, allows customers to track the production of their wind and/or solar systems, receive on-site meteorological measurements, verify battery voltage, and see their on-site energy consumption. This entire gamut of services is stored on the cloud, allowing UGE's customers to see the data from anywhere in the world. "ViewUGE has been the leading monitoring and control platform for our customers over the past year", says Jan Gromadzki, Head of Integrated Products at UGE.
Held annually as part of the Connected World Conference, the Value Chain Awards honors the most successful corporate adopters of M2M (Machine to Machine) technology and connected devices, as well as the solution providers that help make their technology adoption a success.
"The Value Chain Awards Gala gives us chance to celebrate all of the achievements that can be found in the M2M and connected-devices marketplace. Each company or individual honored tonight has used technology to their advantage and found a way to provide something new and innovative," says Mike Carrozzo, chief editor of Connected World. "We are thrilled to have a chance to recognize each, and to continue this tradition of success."
ViewUGE is included in UGE's recently-launched line of power electronics, SeamlessGridTM, and is available for configurations both interconnected with the grid and those operating independently from the grid. Energy is transmitted seamlessly through ethernet connections or an optional 3G attachment for locations where ethernet is not easily available. "It is particularly well suited for use for renewable energy deployments in telecoms, off-grid street lighting, and other multi-site deployments, where customers can conveniently gather, view, and analyze all data from a single location." says Oliver Rich, UGE Engineer.
