Vincent Price Estate Launches 100 Year Legacy Campaign

Vincent Price's estate to launch "One Hundred Year Legacy" media campaign to mark the actor's 100 year birthday.

In preparation for 2011, which marks Vincent Price's 100-year birthday celebration, the Vincent Price Estate has begun working with the creative agency, Pixascope, to re-brand the late actor's persona. Focusing both on an entirely new generation of fans, as well as life-long Price enthusiasts, the Price Estate looks forward to connecting with the subset of young film lovers, while reminding Price's extensive fan base of the scope and breadth of his career and appeal.

Price's career spanned more than half a century, and included a vast variety of film genres, as well as the creative fields of radio, art and cuisine. But it was his talent for captivating audiences in memorable films such as Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands and the 3D classic House of Wax that made Vincent Price a household name. His prestigious velvety voice became synonymous with horror films, most notably the AIP films directed by Roger Corman in the 1960s.

Pixascope, based in Boulder, Colorado, is collaborating with Price's daughter, Victoria Price, to develop an extensive media campaign that has been named the "One Hundred Year Legacy". The agency is developing a wide range of social media, web, video and merchandise in order to revitalize the legacy of this iconic American actor. "His movies were a staple of my youth," said Aaron Lea, Pixascope creative director. "Our team is excited to coordinate the creative efforts and outreach for Vincent Price's centennial celebration and beyond."
