VinePair Announces Two Esteemed Columnists

Journalist Evan Rail and National Homebrewing Champion Mandy Naglich to Write Monthly Features on Drinks and Culture

​VinePair, the largest and fastest-growing media brand in the world reaching the next generation of drinkers, proudly shares two new monthly columnists joining its impressive roster of editorial contributors.

Evan Rail, an anthologized beer and travel writer, author and contributor to The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, now contributes a monthly column to VinePair. Called Free Pour, Rail’s column uncovers the unusual, often unexpected subcultures in global drinks culture. It publishes the last Wednesday of every month.

In installments of Free Pour, Rail has explored why so many of California’s top winemakers drink beer during harvest and also delved into the international community of artists using beer, cider and coffee as paint.

Mandy Naglich, the 2016 National Homebrew Competition Gold Medalist and an Advanced Cicerone®, will write a monthly homebrewing column for VinePair. Her first installment, “How to win a homebrew competition, according to a national champion,” published on March 20, 2019.
