Vivo Bene Village Joins the Unique Collection of Hotels and Resorts
Bangkok, Thailand, November 5, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Opened in November 2014, Vivo bene Village is the first luxury holiday village in Thailand that permits guests of all ages to fully enjoy travel and holidays, despite any mobility restrictions or need of special care.
Nestled in 2 hectares of tree-shaded gardens, the Swiss-managed Village combines a secluded setting with a peaceful location 18 kilometres from the historic city centre. A shuttle bus service facilitates shopping and sightseeing trips. The small provincial town of Doi Saket is close by, and the surrounding countryside is rich in natural beauty.
Vivo bene guests can explore the gardens, stroll along meandering pathways, swim in the pool, take advantage of the fitness equipment, or enjoy other activities according to their individual wishes. Groups can paint, sing, make music, do Pilates, take part in dance evenings, or learn Thai cooking.
Built to meticulous standards with high quality materials, all areas, facilities and guest rooms are disabled-friendly, safe and secure. Accommodation, ranging in size from 32 to 96 square metres, is contained in eight Villas, and six custom-designed Pavilions.
The Villas, ranging from 41 to 52 square meters, are separated from the Pavilions by a small lake. All feature a spacious en-suite bathroom and a 20 to 52 square metre terrace for relaxation or sunbathing. Standards and facilities in the Villas are comparable to those of a five star hotel.
Key selling points of the Pavilions are flexibility, comfort and convenience. Each one has twelve rooms, with a choice of Superior, Junior Suites and Apartments. Pavilions can be individually configured to serve specific customer categories. These include people recovering from illness, leisure travellers who do not wish to stay in the city, nature lovers, long stays, or guests with disabilities who require special care. In the latter case, a qualified health professional is present round the clock, ready to give assistance or care whenever necessary.
All six Pavilions feature a spacious communal lounge area, reading room and a kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with seating area, workspaces, large refrigerator, microwave oven, crockery and cutlery, plus tea and coffee making facilities.
Pavilions can be reserved for small private groups such as clubs and associations. In this case, the lounge area is easily transformed into a meeting room, or a pleasant venue for a cocktail reception.
Other Vivo bene facilities include a wheelchair-accessible swimming pool, Rössli, a Swiss/Thai restaurant, a bakery & shop, an exercise and fitness room, a clubhouse & reception, a separate Wellness Centre with massage, hairdressing and beauty salon. A small well-equipped meeting room can accommodate up to fifteen persons.
Vivo bene Village is a valuable addition to this historic 700-year old city, which enjoys a warm climate, easy access, excellent hospitals, fine restaurants, hospitable people, a rich culture, and probably the finest shopping opportunities in Asia.
“Vivo bene Village is not only perfect for different categories of guest, young or old, it is ideal for any person or group needing special care or attention such as cannot be provided in an ordinary resort or hotel. We look forward to The Unique Collection of Hotel’s ability to communicate this message to all guests who would certainly benefit from our hospitality, our expertise, and our peaceful ambiance” said Mr. Marc Dumur, General Manager of Vivo bene Village.
“The Unique Collection team is thrilled to welcome Vivo bene Village as the additional property to the collection.” said Mr. Peter Kaelli, CEO of The Unique Collection of Hotels & Resorts, which manages the hotel. “The property has unquestionably set a new standard for luxury resorts with a very uniquely specialised service. In line with the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s campaign to promote medical and long stay leisure tourism in Thailand, our aim is to expand its market and to further enhance its positioning as a specialised care and rest centre offering guests the best possible combination of East and West.”
