New York, NY, March 12, 2015 (Newswire.com) - For being an organization focused on large-scale impact on women’s civic and political leadership, VoteRunLead (VRL) thought there was no better time than Women’s History Month to launch 2015 VRL Live! Web Series for Women’s Leadership, 34 weekly online trainings to assist women in how to effectively vote, run and lead.
The VRL Live! Web Series for Women’s Leadership curriculum is the first of its kind. The series is dedicated to demystifying the electoral process and using technology to make leadership opportunities accessible to women, at no cost to its members. This is an opportunity for tens of thousands of women to build relationships with women leaders through weekly webinars hosted by experts and public officials.
We can no longer keep the ins and outs of political leadership in the hands of a select few.

“We can no longer keep the ins and outs of political leadership in the hands of a select few,” said Erin Vilardi, VRL Founder and Executive Director. “If we want a true democracy, we must open up the process of leadership in a way that fits women’s lives. Now, we have the tools and tech for any woman to learn at her own pace and from any location.”
Come ready to learn every Thursday at 2 p.m EST. Based on ten years of training around the United States, the clinics are proven to be interactive, engaging and effective. The sessions focus on skills needed to successfully run and lead, are rooted in women’s true experiences in political life, reveal the function, power, and realities of holding local office, and share new civic technologies that can help accelerate women’s representation.
VRL Live! will also again host its successful Latinas in Leadership 5-part program starting next month, with partners Political Parity and the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda. More clinics will be added throughout the year.
In this week’s clinic, Thursday, March 12th, members will be introduced to civic tech, with important tips and tools from Advisory Board Member and Founder of POPVOX, Marci Harris. She co-founded POPVOX, creating a civic engagement platform that meshes real-time legislative data with users' personal stories and sentiment, delivering public input to government in a format tailored to actionable policy decisions.
“I joined the VRL Advisory Board for exactly this reason,” said Harris. “to help connect women activists with the most effective resources and skills that will assist them in not only advocating, but leading. And, that is exactly what our democracy needs.”
All clinics have live Q&A, accompanying resources and are recorded for viewing at a later date. Sessions are made available to members of VRL Nation; membership is free so sign up today at voterunlead.org.
