VRSim Enhances SimSpray with New Features
Online, September 10, 2012 (Newswire.com) - "We are excited to see these new features in action," said Matthew Wallace, CEO & President of VRSim. "Our customers should love them. We made the system easier to use while keeping it just as engaging."
SimSpray's new features include:
-new practice parts include a car bumper and motorcycle fender; and, for industrial customers, a backhoe bucket and half barrel
-an enhanced user interface that is now easier to navigate so users can move more freely between pages,
-an improved scoring system with more accurate calculations and better graphs
SimSpray also has a new look. The traditional painter's helmet found in earlier versions of SimSpray has now been replaced with a Sony Personal 3D Viewer (HMZ-T1 head mounted display). This new head mount will give the user a High Definition virtual experience with a crystal clear OLED HD picture. The Sony headmount ships with current and future orders and will be available to customers with the old helmet starting October 1 at an additional cost.
"Building a system that provides a realistic training experience that gives customers something they can use in the real world is important. We will continue to work hand-in-hand with customers throughout the life of the system. Our team is constantly gathering feedback and striving to make improvements and add features that will benefit the users," said Wallace.
SimSpray is a cost effective, stand-alone mobile training appliance that reinforces the basic skill fundamentals of spray painting and coating. It is a turnkey system that is portable and effective for classroom use. A core component of SimSpray is a complex feedback mechanism that helps in teaching basic skills. The system allows trainees to do more repetitions in less time without the added costs of materials, consumables, and waste disposal fees. By eliminating prep and cleanup time a student can complete in 10 minutes an exercise that will take over 2 hours using traditional methods.
