WHAT IS THE BIG CAMP FOR YCS?
The Big Camp for YCS is a project created by a group of volunteers called the Friends of YCS. "We believe that all children deserve to enjoy the outdoors in a safe and fun environment. Our ultimate goal is to raise $2,000,000 to create a camp that YCS can use year-round to provide recreational, educational and social opportunities for the children in their care," says Guy Prandstatter, the group's founder. Through various fundraising efforts, the Friends of YCS are committed to the purchase and construction of the camp, as well as the funding necessary to run the camp on an ongoing basis. Thus far the group has raised nearly $500,000.
