Presented by the Desert Foothills Community Association (DFCA), the second annual event kicks off Friday, October 8 with a professional bull riding competition and mutton bustin' at the Cave Creek Memorial Arena, 37201 North 28th Street. The fun continues that night with a David Allan Coe concert at Harold's Corral at 6895 East Cave Creek Road. Throughout the weekend, the arena will host family fun including carnival rides, exhibitions, free SafePrinting with McGruff the Crime Dog and thrilling rodeos featuring top-ranked Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) and Women's Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) contestants. The DFCA also is bringing back the exciting Pro Tour FMX Motocross entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights and welcomes Mounted Shooting on Saturday afternoon.

Family four-packs will be offered at a pre-sale savings and include 12 ride tickets for the carnival. The carnival company will sell wristbands for unlimited access to the rides. The Wayne Wilson Children's Charity Rodeo and Carnival is an annual event that supports the needs of the youth in our community while promoting education and outdoor sports. The DFCA proudly produces events that promote and preserve the western heritage of our community, the State of Arizona and the United States of America. Proceeds from the Wayne Wilson Children's Charity Rodeo and Carnival support local charities including the Wayne Wilson Scholarship Fund. The event is named in honor of Wayne Wilson, Cave Creek's former "rodeo boss," who believed every child deserved the opportunity to become successful and have a better life through continued education.
