WE Forum to Examine Water Business Opportunities March 6-7

"Water Business Opportunities for 2012 and Beyond" is the theme of this year's WATER EXECUTIVE Forum, slated for March 6-7 in Las Vegas. The sessions will be co-located at the 2012 WQA Aquatech conference in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Water Business Opportunities for 2012 and Beyond will be the theme of this year's WATER EXECUTIVE Forum, which will be conducted March 6-7 and be co-located at the 2012 WQA Aquatech USA conference that is being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

William Malarkey, managing director-investment banking at Boenning & Scattergood, will act as session moderator. Mr. Malarkey will also speak on the topic, "Sources for Funding Growth at Small-Cap Water Businesses." This presentation will address ways that smaller and mid-size water companies can pursue funding sources to help provide capital for future growth.

On the investment side, Neil Berlant, a partner in Crowell, Weedon & Co., will address investment opportunities in the water business. Mr. Berlant has actively followed the water business for years, and has been involved in the investment banking industry since 1968. Over the years, he has supervised and led the publication of numerous investment research reports on the water industry. His background includes serving as portfolio manager of the PFW Water Fund, and executive level positions with The Seidler Companies, Wells Fargo Investments, Paine Webber, Water Research Associates, and Fitzgerald and Co., among others.

Peter Censky, the executive director of the Water Quality Association, will address the topic of future trends in the home drinking water business. Residential water treatment is one of the important segments of the water industry. Others include municipal water and wastewater, industrial and high-purity water, desalination, mining water, and produced water.

Jerry Rowe, global director water resource management at Hatch, will speak about the topic, "Global Water Business Opportunities with the Mining Industry", while John Lucey, vice president at Heckmann Corp., will examine water treatment opportunities in the oil and gas industry. Both presentations will focus on important areas of market growth in the water business.

Nikolay Voutchkov, the president of Water Group Consulting, will examine desalination market and technology trends. The presentation will discuss advances in desalination technology and potential market opportunities expected in the near future.

Other confirmed speakers at the conference include Snehal Desai, global director of marketing with Dow Water & Process Solutions, Karl Michael Millauer, senior vice president with Aquatech International Corp., and Paul Turgeon, former president of BWA Water Additives.

This will be the 7th WATER EXECUTIVE Forum. Previous conferences were conducted in Philadelphia and Somerset, N.J., between 2004 through 2009.
