Online, July 7, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Traceability is an important part of keeping Ontario food safe
Traceability is one of the most important business processes for a food and beverage processor. A product recall can cause huge implications throughout the supply chain and on the overall brand of a company. Luckily, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) recognizes the importance of a traceability program and is providing funding to help. The Traceability Foundations Initiative (TFI) focuses on assisting organizations with the development and enhancement of information sharing systems through mutual business partnerships. If selected, an eligible project may be approved for an amount up to a maximum of $5 Million in funding.
