The current year, 2010 is showing that weddings are not as common as they were ten years ago. In fact, there is currently an 8% decline in the total number of US weddings since 2005. Weddings are decreasing on an average of about 2% annually, with a 3% decline forecasted for 2010.

With the decline in the total number of weddings also comes less revenue into the wedding market. The average spending on a wedding in 2005 was $26,450, and the average spending on a wedding in 2009 was $19,581, showing a decrease of 26% with a steady decline in wedding revenue at 5% annually.

The economy, particularly in the wedding industry, is showing a track record of financial struggle, yet most wedding vendors are holding steady, and even increasing the costs of their services and products. The overhead costs of wedding vendors, and also the general costs of living continue to rise annually, and wedding vendors are left with little choice but to hold steady or to increase their rates to keep up with their own personal and business financial demands.

As a wedding photographer in Massachusetts, I have recently decided to attempt a small step towards a solution for the crisis in the wedding industry, which has been gradually sneaking up on wedding vendors. I have been working endless hours on creating, designing, and developing a website with a focus on weddings. My hopes are to attract the attention of wedding vendors nationally, build a business to business relationship with these vendors and a partnership by way of them advertising on my website in a wedding vendors directory that I have been working to create.

Once I have got the attention of wedding vendors with a very affordable solution to advertising and offering them an easy way of reaching thousands of people planning their weddings without hurting their own budgets, I then have a plan to implement a program on my website where I will offer the opportunity for free advertising upgrades to wedding vendors who agree to offer discounts on their services and products ranging from 10% to 50% or greater.

My hopes are to offer money saving opportunities to couples planning their weddings, and with one step at a time, one foot in front of the other, hold steady the revenues going into the wedding market, and hopefully the statistics for 2010 and projections for 2011 wedding revenue will show an increase in the average spending on weddings.

The website I'm in the process of building is called Wedding Inquiry, which can be found online at www.weddinginquiry.com and although it's a work in progress, many of the websites pages and features will be functional as I continue on with the development of the site.

I'm currently offering great savings opportunities for wedding vendors anywhere in the United States who are looking to advertise their services or products to couples planning their weddings. Right now, wedding vendors can get an ad for as little as a onetime annual payment of only $25 (twenty five dollars) or other advertising plans for as little as $5.00 monthly. Wedding vendors can choose from basic ads, featured ads, and even general advertising on any of the pages throughout the Wedding Inquiry website. This offer will not stand forever though, so any wedding vendors interested in this opportunity I strongly urge to visit Wedding Inquiry today at www.weddinginquiry.com to take advantage of this deal.

Wedding Inquiry will also be a source for useful wedding related information, tips, wedding planning tools, articles including do it yourself articles, a complete and free wedding guide, wedding news and gossip, wedding product marketplace, wedding forums, a wedding blog, and of course the wedding vendors directory, the cost savings program for discounts on local wedding vendors, wedding services and products, and much, much more... all at www.weddinginquiry.com

With the current construction of the website the services and information available to brides is rather limited right now, but with hopes of reaching enough wedding vendors to assist in the financial aspect of the websites construction by way of advertising for a very low fee, it won't be long at all until the website is fully completed and has everything, and more to offer to couples planning their weddings.
