OAKLAND, Calif., May 27, 2010 - Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP welcomes Karen Balderama as a Business Practice associate.

Previously a member of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe's Corporate Group, Balderama has extensive experience advising emerging companies on entity formation, securities, venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and corporate governance. Balderama has also drafted, negotiated and handled a wide range of corporate documents and agreements.

Balderama earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (2007), where she served as the current developments editor of the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal, and her B.A. in political science and mass communications from the University of California, Berkeley (2001).
