We're Going to Party With a Purpose" to Benefit Outreach: Announces United Entertainment, Inc.
Online, June 18, 2011 (Newswire.com) - United Entertainment, Inc., a local non-profit, announced Tuesday a massive campaign to assist at-risk youth in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Partnering with NightTHRiVE Media and Marketing Group, LLC of Dallas, Texas, UEI celebrated a launch party at Texas Christian University on May 28, 2011. The guest list included Jim Lane, candidate for Fort Worth mayor with nationally known jazz artist Darren Rahn providing entertainment. The opening act included "This and That" a local jazz ensemble.
Following the launch, UEI provided an event at Glencrest 6 Grade School of Fort Worth ISD on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Several companies with a focus on providing resources partnered with UEI for the event. Represented at the event were over 10 booths including Seven Day Dental, Cooks Children, Sam's Club, Boys and Girls Club, and Texas Workforce for Youth Education. Rodney White, principal of Glencrest noted, "This school has gone from one of the worst schools to one of the best in the past year" with every child passing the latest testing. An attending vendor remarked: "These are the most respectful kids I've ever seen."
Karen P. Smith, Founder and Chief Executive Officer expanded: "It is really remarkable to have so many in our community come together to party with a purpose. What really matters? I'll tell you - people matter. Our youth are our future, plain and simple. We're reaching them before they enter the system, rather than the current paradigm of solving the problem only after a crime has been committed. Through collaborative efforts with celebrities and entertainers are bringing prevention and hope throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and far beyond."
On August 27, 2011, Alex Bugnon and Pamela Williams will be featured for UEI's "Jazzing It Up" event to be held at TCU. Events with Darren Rahn, Jessy J., Foreplay, Boney James, Hugh Groove, Paul Brown,Tim Bowen, Fatt Burger, Julian Vaughn, Bob Baldwin and more are planned.
