Westchester Toyota Gives Back to the Community

Yonkers based, Westchester Toyota once again donated to 3 local non-profits that participated in their 15th Give Back campaign, which is run through the dealership's Facebook page. The participating non-profits were Backyard Sports Cares, Heart Song Inc. and Westchester Children's Museum.

Every 90 days Westchester Toyota selects 3 local non-profit organizations to participate in a campaign on Facebook. The participating non-profits then get their local advocates to vote for their specific organization on Facebook.  At the end of the 90-day cycle Westchester Toyota makes a $1500 donation to the organization that gets the most votes.  In an effort to make sure every local non-profit wins when participating, Westchester Toyota also makes a $750 donation to the second place organization and $500 to the final participant.

"I’m excited about the success we’ve had with the Give Back campaign.  As a family owned dealership we understand the importance of getting involved in the community and feel the Give Back Program gives us the opportunity to assist these deserving organizations that make Westchester a better place to live. We all look forward to keeping the tradition of Giving Back to the community for years to come,” commented Rich Prager, Westchester Toyota’s General Manager

The donation took place on Friday, May 29th at their dealership located at 2167 Central Park Avenue in Yonkers.

Each charity won a donation based on the number of votes they received on Westchester Toyota’s Facebook page.

Backyard Sports Cares was awarded the grand prize of $1,500. This great organization believes that any child, given the right coaching and support, can acquire the competitive edge and winning skills that will serve them in sports, academics, and beyond the playing field.

Heart Song Inc. came in second place and received $750. Their mission is to provide clinically based therapeutic, educational and rehabilitative creative arts programs that seek to enhance the functioning level and quality of life of individuals with special needs.

Westchester Children’s Museum came in third and received $500. Their work will provide a vibrant, interactive learning space giving children, families and school groups the opportunity to nurture curiosity, enhance knowledge and ignite imagination through creative hands-on exploration.
