What Happened to the ACN Video Phone Opportunity?
Online, February 7, 2010 (Newswire.com) - What has happened to the ACN video phone opportunity? Deemed one of the fastest growing companies by Inc. magazine in 1998, we wanted to see exactly where this telecommunications/ video phone / network marketing company is twelve years later.
Back in 1998, ACN was named the 22nd fastest growing privately held company in the US, for the annual ranking in the Inc. 500.
In 2010, twelve years after being recognized by Inc., ACN is still growing strong and has officially moved operations to its new campus in Concord, NC, providing over 500 jobs in the process. Founded in 1993, ACN is now in twenty countries and expanding, with international ACN offices in Montreal, Canada; Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Sydney, Australia; Åmål, Sweden and Wrocław, Poland.
Turns out that 2009 was a banner year for ACN and 2010 is looking bright. In March 2009, ACN appeared in The Celebrity Apprentice on NBC in a show that garnered high ratings with millions of viewers. This appearance in a two-hour segment of the popular show made network marketing history as ACN became the only network marketing company to appear in a major network television show-ever. ACN is still experiencing positive momentum from that strategy which was the result of a personal invitation from The Donald himself. This show revealed ACN in a very positive light and positioned the company as a top provider of innovation in the telecommunications industry with their high-end video phones.
Positive light indeed. The two teams included celebrities like Joan Rivers and Dennis Rodman whose teams competed "boys against girls." Both teams created electrifying event launches for the new video phone and presented them to a host of ACN top independent distributors at a gala event in Manhattan. The guys' team won when singer Brian McKnight wrote and performed a new song exclusively for ACN that brought down the house. ACN also ran two spots announcing their new video phone during the airing of the show.
All this business-stimulating publicity was on the heels of a new contract with The Donald. Yes, ACN also made network marketing opportunity history in signing Donald Trump as a celebrity sponsor of their privately held, debt-free company. Again, ACN was the first network marketing company ever to have this high-level collaborative representation of their company. Donald Trump is speaking at ACN events and also representing ACN in video messages on their website, ACNinc.com. Trump says he knows and respects the founders and top executives of the company and when I stopped in to hear him speak at one of the ACN events, Trump talked about playing golf with two of the founders, Greg Provenzano and Robert Stevanovski in Florida. He shared a personal anecdote of their time together and the awareness he gained about ACN and its founders-and what has helped make ACN so successful.
ACN provides telecommunications services and products to consumers while also providing independent representatives with an opportunity to form their own home-based businesses. ACN has also created an exemplary corporate giving program that has aligned them with Ronald McDonald House charities and many other non-profits that focus on children and giving back to the community. ACN recently gave $1.3 million in support of the RMD house in Charlotte, NC.
So, back to that question: what has happened to the ACN video phone opportunity? As it turns out, ACN has become the largest direct seller of telecommunications in the world and even during a recession they are thriving, nationally and internationally. They have been recognized in USA Today, Success magazine, US Business Review, Fortune, and Inc. magazine-and the latest news seems to further demonstrate their continuing success and influence. Donald Trump is again the keynote speaker for the ACN event in San Jose, CA, February 19-21, 2010.
