Whitewood Campground & the Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Dakota to Team Up for a Fundraising Campaign
Whitewood, South Dakota, July 10, 2015 (Newswire.com) - The Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Dakota and Whitewood Campground are excited to join forces for a fundraising drive during the 75th Sturgis© Motorcycle RallyTM from July 30th through August 9th, 2015, with proceeds benefitting the South Dakota Charity.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Dakota is nearing 32 years of service in South Dakota, providing a ‘Home Away From Home’ for the families of sick and injured children, needing care in a local hospital. Families travel great distances to receive care for their children, and when they need a place to stay while undergoing the unthinkable—a child battling illness—RMHC is there to offer a place of rest and reprieve. While Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Dakota may not be able to make the medicine taste better or erase the pain of a much-needed treatment, we can help lessen the burden for more than 1,200 families per year. Since 2010, more than 6,000 families have been served from across the entire state and beyond. No one ever asked a child if they are old enough or strong enough to fight for their lives, yet they do it every day.
"We've got this amazing opportunity to give back. Partnering with the Ronald McDonald House Charity - South Dakota is such a great deal! What they do speaks directly to what we wanted to get involved with."
