Why Settle for a "Daily Deal?" Speadi Gives Customers Real-Time Competitive Offers
Online, July 1, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Speadi is a new mobile app that allows businesses to make any offer they like, control the number of redemptions and precisely control the time for which the offer is available -- all for $9.99 per offer.
Last week, Speadi showcased what their new, multi-level mobile platform is and discovered they had a hit with shoppers looking for local deals and with the businesses that offered them. This unique app combines the art of social competitive shopping and local deal hunting. Businesses create deals for consumers and then participants "race" to receive the deals in real-time.
The popularity of sites like Groupon.com and LivingSocial.com have expanded the market for businesses offering discounts to drive sales. While the "daily deal" sites generate traffic, the process can be very expensive for participating businesses.
By contrast, Speadi returns the control to the participating businesses, or sponsors, as they're called. Speadi lets sponsors have complete control over when, how much, how long and what kind of traffic they want at any given time of the day. Instead of sharing revenue with the hosting site, every Speadi deal is a flat rate of $9.99 each.
During the official national launch last week in Fenton, Mich. at VG's Grocery Store, roughly 400 runners participated in 41 different runs, while the mobile application saw more than 1,000 runners participating only three days after the initial launch day. Sponsors offering deals throughout the day included: VG's, Biggby, French Laundry, Gatsby Grind, Alexander J's and Avon to name a few.
"In a fast paced world, people expect things in real time. Speadi deals meet that need for businesses AND consumers! An easy sell!" said Eric Wheeler, one of the 400 runners who participated.
"Love the ability to post a special whenever I want and control the number of specials available. It is a great social networking tool and we are seeing new customers in our doors!" said Kris Kildea, from Biggby Coffee, a sponsor.
Speadi's launch at VG's Grocery, which participated in three different runs throughout the day, found that more than 50 percent of those who participated in the runs took advantage of more than one deal. One of its most successful deals was an offer for 24 bottles of water for 48 cents.
The founders of the Speadi app have decades of experience leading successful companies. Camilla Denison is the former president of Champion Laboratories, has been an executive leader in the automotive industry for 26 years and is well-positioned to continue Speadi's success. Fellow founder Michael Jaschke has past experience as CEO of Infrotradix LLC., and is an innovator with 20 years of successful leadership in the software industry. Bo Shumaker is an entrepreneur and dentist who has founded several companies in the medical, services, entertainment and real estate industries. For more info visit: www.speadi.com
