Sheffield Hallam University, UK, is offering Indian students the chance to win a full-fee scholarship for a masters course in computing.

Details of the Capture the Hacker Competition will be revealed at a public lecture entitled The Changing Face of Malicious Hacking, from 10-11am on Wednesday 5 March at Christ University, Bangalore.

The winner of the competition will receive a full-fee scholarship to study MSc Information Systems Security in the UK in September 2014.

Course leader Neil Richardson is inviting all University students in Bangalore interested in entering the competition to learn more by attending his public lecture. The competition is open to students with experience of IP packets and Linux.

The lecture will focus on computer hacking and how hackers access computer systems, what tools they use and how companies can take steps to protect themselves from the threat of cyber attacks.

Neil Richardson, who has a specialist interest in ethical hacking and mobile security, said:

"Cyber security is a rapidly growing field. Our graduates in Information Security are in high demand from employers and we've had companies and organisations come to us and ask for more students with the experience and knowledge they've gained from studying on our range of computing courses.

"The lecture we are delivering in Bangalore is a great opportunity for anyone interested in further study in this area to come along and ask any questions about studying at Sheffield Hallam University and find out more details about the Capture the Hacker Competition."
