Putnam County International Wine & Food Fest Celebrates its Second Year

Greenergy Productions, LLC is pleased to announce the second annual Putnam County International Wine & Food Fest, taking place Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park, 201 Gypsy Trail Road, Carmel, NY.

While sipping on fine wines from a variety of winemakers, tasters will be able to enjoy some of the area's best arts and crafts and live music all weekend long. Visitors will also enjoy the eco village, children's activity area, fresh produce at the farmers market, plus local and international craft beers in the beer garden. Local chefs will be on hand offering fun and informative cooking demonstrations on both days of the event.

"We had a ball pouring Cereghino Smith wine at the inaugural 'Putnam County International Wine & Food Fest' last August, wine, food, music, art and community were celebrated and supported," stated Paula of Cereghino Smith Wineries. "Only a family wedding 3000 miles away will take us away from the 2012 festivities. We're already looking forward to joining in the fun at the 3rd annual Fest in 2013!" added Paula Cereghino & Fred Smith www.cereghinosmith.com.

A portion of the proceeds benefits Feed the Children's, "Americans Feeding Americans' Campaign" which benefits local food pantries and educational charities.

Getting to Wine Fest from New York City and Albany will be a breeze, too. The Putnam County International Wine & Food Fest has partnered with Metro-North Railroad to offer a discount rail and discount admission Getaway package. Customers can take Metro-North's Harlem Line to the Southeast Station or the Hudson Line to Cold Spring Station to connect with free shuttle buses to/from the Wine Festival.

The event is sponsored in part by Mahopac News, Putnam Visitor's Bureau, Eventful Magazine and WFAS Radio.
