Wisconsin Dells Holiday Hoopla

Holiday time is all about family togetherness, are we right? Gathering 'round a cozy fireplace with grandma and grandpa to reminisce. Sitting down to a scrumptious meal. Heading out for some bargain hunting. Then scampering down to the Wisconsin Dells water parks (http://www.wisdells.com/wisconsin-dells-water-parks/) for some real fun. Ha, gotcha! The truth is, holidays are best enjoyed when on vacation in the Dells.

Wisconsin Dells Presents Its Rendition of a Holiday Classic:
To go on record, we are not dissing the sweetness of gathering the family 'round the home hearth at holiday time. But, let's be honest, the cook in the household would likely be giddy at the notion that they wouldn't have to prepare the feast. And it wouldn't take any convincing to get the kids geared up for a road trip to the Dells. We even think the grandparents would love to tag along for some fun in "The Waterpark Capital of the World!®". So here are choices to consider:

Thanksgiving in the Dells:
Many of the large Wisconsin Dells water park resorts now prepare a traditional turkey day feast for overnight guests. Reserve a suite, villa, condo or cabin, or any Wisconsin Dells resorts (http://www.wisdells.com/wisconsin-dells-hotels/), whatever suits your fancy and your family. There's been a real upswing in shopping too, with Tanger Outlet Center and a growing number of boutique stores joining the old school retail favorites, so get a good jump on Christmas shopping while you're here. Might we also suggest you take in the Rick Wilcox Magic Show or a screening at the Dells 4D Special FX Theater.

Christmas in Wisconsin Dells:
You will be wowed by the holiday decorations around the Dells - really wonderful! Over at Great Wolf Lodge, they are debuting a life-size gingerbread house in their lobby. We kid you not. You can even reserve it for a sit-down meal, just no eating the gingerbread. Wisconsin Dells resorts (http://www.wisdells.com/wisconsin-dells-hotels/). will be decked out with trees and treats for holiday travelers. Swim in the indoor waterparks or ski at one of the area ski and snow tube hills. Don't forget to bring your ice skates - Lake Delton is a charming spot for an afternoon of family figure skating in the Dells.

A Wisconsin Dells New Year's Eve:
Parties for little ones, parties for grown-ups, it looks to be a rockin' Wisconsin Dells New Year's Eve this year. Carve out some time for cosmic bowling, indoor go-carting, hands-on exploring, wizard questing and, of course, waterparking, if that's even a word! By now mom may be in the mood for a well-deserved spa service and there are lovely spas to choose from.

A Final Thought:
If it just won't work for you to visit the Dells during one of these holidays, why not sneak away with the immediate family for quick getaway before all the hustle and bustle takes hold. Consider your trip to the Dells an early "holiday gift to self."
