WiT Signs With Buzz Records And Releases EP

High school band WiT signed with Buzz Records and released their first four song EP on May 21, 2012. It is available on the Buzz Records' official Facebook store, iTunes and Google Music.

What is This? This is not your average high school band or a couple of boys looking for a little taste of stardom; this is chemistry. Chemistry that Buzz Records is proud to announce is now available on the Buzz Records Facebook page, iTunes and Google Music. Their raw stripped down, pop-punk style gained them the attention of Robby Takac of the Goo Goo Dolls who named them one of the top high school bands in the area. What is This or WiT won last year's Mount Stock battle of the bands and the chance to work with Buzz Records whom they greatly impressed earning them the opportunity to record and release their first official EP on May 21, 2012.

WiT is comprised of Louis Oswald (vocals & guitar) who is just seventeen years old and his brother Adam (drums & back-ground vocals) and best friend Tom Balbeirz (bass & vocals) who are only fifteen but their age does not matter. Not when they have been influenced by early Greenday, Blink 182 plus a little Fall Out Boy and New Found Glory. Songs like Younger and Jay, which are on the four song EP, are perfect examples of what you should expect from a band that has performed at the 2011 Buffalo Niagara Air Show, Music is Art Summer Festival at Canalside, Club Infinity, Xtreme Wheels, Yings Town Pub, Broadway Joes, Double D's, Mooneys and were invited to perform at the HSBC Arena with six other bands from the Music is Art Battle of the Bands.

A release Party is currently being planned where the boys will be performing a mix of their original songs and a few of their favorite inspirational covers from bands like The Offspring, Nirvana, Greenday and Blink 182. It was their chemistry that got them here and it will be their chemistry that will get you up out of your seats to sing and dance along with the boys of What it This.

Buzz Records was founded in 2011 by Grammy-nominated producer, Anthony Casuccio and successful business partner and lawyer Steve Kantor: two successful yet ultimately very different individuals looking to provide the industry with a fresh, unique and much needed new approach. "We're going to sign and nurture artists and bands who have a genuine, original sound," says co-founder Steve Kantor. There are too many record labels out there that are trying to sign bands that fit the mold of pop culture and will produce one big hit before something "better" takes their place. Casuccio and Kantor are striving to change that idea.

The artists and bands that are signed under Buzz Records are not there for anyone to make a quick buck. The goal is for them to experience long-term growth, becoming better musicians, performers and fine tune their sound to fit their identity: not the molds.
