WizeHive Raises Capital and Expands Executive Team to Accelerate Strong Market Momentum
Philadelphia, PA, June 28, 2017 (Newswire.com) - WizeHive announced today that it has raised additional capital and added three new leaders to its senior management team. These additions enable WizeHive to build upon its strong market momentum and accelerate investments in its latest generation technology platform ZengineTM, enhance client service programs and promote other innovation and growth efforts.
The Company, which offers a cloud-based platform that simplifies business processes- particularly those involving the collection and management of applications for grants, scholarships, fellowships and awards - experienced record sales in the first half of 2017 and added over 100 new clients. Clients cited the platform’s flexibility, coupled with its ease of tailoring and implementation - as key reasons for selection. To build upon this momentum, the Company has added the following members to its leadership team:
"I'm thrilled to have Carl, Kimberly and Kristen on the WizeHive team," said Mike. "With additional capital and three new team members - each with a track record of driving innovation and growth - WizeHive is even better positioned to advance our vision and bring more value to clients."
Michael Levinson, co-founder and Chairman.

-
Kimberly Gress, Vice President of Operations. Kimberly has a strong track-record of optimizing client service processes for SaaS companies. Most recently she was founder and president of C2O Advisors which focused on helping early-stage companies improve and scale business processes. Prior to C2O Advisors, Kimberly was Vice President of Client Services at Boomi (acquired by Dell) where she transformed the function with a focus on client success. Kimberly also brings experience in the education space having had key roles with Sungard Higher Education Services.
- Kristen Knouft, Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to WizeHive, Kristen was a Managing Director with Accenture, responsible for marketing and growing Accenture’s Procurement Business Process Services (BPS) unit which grew 250% during her tenure. Prior to Accenture, Kristen was part of the team that founded and launched Procurian. As Procurian’s SVP and Chief Marketing Officer, Kristen positioned the company as the clear market leader and played a key role in shaping and executing product and go-to-market strategies and other revenue fueling efforts.
These hires are all additive to WizeHive’s existing management team. Michael Levinson, co-founder and Chairman of WizeHive and co-founder of DreamIt Ventures, continues in an active executive leadership role with greater opportunity to focus on advancing ZengineTM technology and driving strategic relationships. “I’m thrilled to have Carl, Kimberly and Kristen on the WizeHive team,” said Mike. “With additional capital and three new team members - each with a track record of driving innovation and growth - WizeHive is even better positioned to advance our vision and bring more value to clients.”
The Company is looking to further expand its team and is actively recruiting client implementation specialists, full stack developers as well product management and B2B marketing specialists.
Carl Guarino, WizeHive’s new CEO, added, “WizeHive has a great foundation with a truly powerful platform, a strong and growing client base and an outstanding team. I could not be more enthusiastic about the opportunity to work with Mike and the rest of the team to take the company to the next level.”
About WizeHive
WizeHive provides over 700 clients a cloud-based platform that simplifies business processes, particularly those involving the collection and management of applications for grants, scholarships, fellowships, accreditation, internships and awards. The Company’s latest generation platform, Zengine, is distinctly easy to tailor and fast to deploy. Many clients are beginning to extend the use of Zengine to address broader business processes as its “low code” nature allows individuals without technical expertise to quickly build fully custom apps, while allowing developers to add integrations and more complex functionality.
