WLCI-Nagpur Campus Students Visited Lokmat Press, As Part Of Their Industrial Visit.

Online, January 20, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Total 12 students were present for the Industrial visit on 03rd Dec 2011. Lokmat is a leading publication of Maharashtra available in 3 languages namely Hindi, English and Marathi. Media students were taken along as a part of the industrial visit so that they can be aware of the modern publication environment. Students were given a vivid explanation of the production process and management; they also understood the nuances of functioning of a huge press of International standards with the size as big as of having 81 machines and where the complete process is managed and controlled through computers. An elaborate explanation was given on critical issues like usage of modern technology for optimum productivity and methodology that can be applied for crucial cost cutting.

Mr Shailesh Akre who is a Sr. Production Manager at Lokmat assisted the students to make them understand the gradations and details of the printing process, technology used and issues pertaining to other management related matters. Ms Shraddha, student of ACL-1 passed on the vote of thanks by presenting a beautiful bouquet to him.

Continuing with its legacy of giving the best to its students this proved to be another essential and great learning experience for the Media students. The learning of this visit would help them in long run of their career where they could proudly claim of having the first hand practical experience of knowing how the publication business operates.
