Women In Management - Idea Watch Organized By Indore Management Institute
Indore Management Institute has organized an Idea Watch event on the topic 'women in management' to share the same views and issues that the women managers are experiencing in their career ride. The event was organized on national level.
Online, August 6, 2010 (Newswire.com) - With the growing globalization the line that parts the two genders at work is getting thinner. The new and emerging corporate culture values quality and qualification more than mere gender discrimination. The changes are reflecting in Indian arena, too, where women are securing higher positions by virtue of their skills and qualifications. Indore Management Institute has organized an Idea Watch event on the topic 'women in management' to share the same views and issues that the women managers are experiencing in their career ride.
"Amidst IMI's research portfolio, event Idea Watch is a platform with focus on Issues sensitive and debatable to the contemporary style of management" informs Mr. Vikas Tiwari, the Dean of Indore Management Institute, 'Corporate members, along with academicians, shared their views and ideas on the topic Women in Management" he adds.
The event was organized on national level and attended by some prominent women leaders and entrepreneurs from various sectors of Industry here, who shared their views. The key speakers included:

The experts suggested that the women should come over the tendency of competing with the men and work towards betterment of society. "Women have the potential to outdo men if they really work hard and concentrate on achieving excellence in whatever they do, in stead of indulging in competition with men counterparts." says the Chief Guest and Program Director Ms. Usha Rane.
Ms. Gazala Faijal, General Manager BSNL said that every woman possess required knowledge and skills but she just fails to identify and apply it in a creative manner. "Women should find out their capabilities and come ahead and contribute to the betterment of the society" she concludes.
The Deputy Collector of District Dhar, Ms. Neeta Rathour acknowledged women to be imperative part of society. While asked about her views about the program, "It would be a good networking base for the participants and an interesting experience to share the forum with women from all verticals and sectors of industry." said the Collector.
