Wood Partners Breaks Ground at New Portland Community
PORTLAND, Ore., March 12, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Wood Partners, a national leader in real estate development and construction, recently broke ground on their new Portland community at 1638 W Burnside. Wood Partners marked the occasion with a charitable contribution to the Janus Youth Programs, a local non-profit serving at-risk youth throughout the region.
The new Wood Partners community in Portland, located at West Burnside Street and Southwest 16th Avenue in Goose Hollow features 138 units and approximately 6,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. This community will be the fourth Wood Partners project in the Pacific Northwest, with two in Seattle and another project in Portland. Wood Partners’ first Portland project, Block 17 by Alta, won the prestigious Multifamily Executive High-Rise of the Year, as well as the Editor’s Choice Award in 2016.
We value the community in Portland, and as we continue to grow here we want to be good citizens of this city. We've seen firsthand how important the Janus Youth Programs is and we are happy to help support those efforts.
Michael Nagy , VP of Development for Wood Partners in the Pacific Northwest
The new Wood Partners community is located within the central city of Portland, with walkability to downtown Portland, the Pearl District and the shops on 23rd street. The property’s proximity to the TriMet Max station at Providence Park and I-405 makes it an ideal location for residents looking to combine the vibrancy of downtown with the ease of commuting to outlying business areas and easy access to the light rail within Portland.
The community will feature a penthouse level club room with a wraparound terrace, an outdoor seating and entertaining area, fitness room, secure bike storage, and garage parking. With a state-of-the-art living experience, residents will easily connect to the dynamic culture of urban Portland.
As part of the company’s activities throughout the Pacific Northwest and in line with its commitment to invest in the communities it works in, Wood Partners is excited to announce a charitable contribution to the Portland-based organization Janus Youth Programs.
Janus Youth Programs is a leader in creating innovative, community-based services that enhance the quality of life for children, youth and families. Wood Partners’ contribution of $25,000 will help Janus continue to serve at-risk youth throughout the Pacific Northwest.
“Wood Partners’ very generous donation in support of the homeless youth services provided by Janus will affect hundreds of vulnerable youth in the months ahead,” said Tim Colton, President of the Janus Youth Programs Board of Directors.
“We are thrilled to contribute to the hard work of Janus,” said Michael Nagy, VP of Development for Wood Partners in the Pacific Northwest. “We value the community in Portland, and as we continue to grow here, we want to be good citizens of this city. We’ve seen firsthand how important the Janus Youth Programs are and we are happy to help support those efforts.”
