Author Jerry Slauter read the "Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost and thought, "What about the road not taken? We have to make all of life's decisions based upon available information. We have no crystal ball to foretell the future. We cannot see what is over the next ridge. Yet, we are all responsible for the choices we make and the life we lead."

Slauter spent the years since the initial inspiration to write the novel living - teaching school, managing retail, owning a business and supervising and inspecting military soldering in a small manufacturing plant. Drafts were completed on chapters 1 through 4 about five times. One time the author got all the way up through chapter 7. Finally, in February and March, 2012, Slauter sat down and wrote the novel. He said to himself. "It is time to finish this project or forget about it."

Wendy Walters, publisher with Palm Tree Productions said, "This historical fiction novel, set at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, is a thought provoking story about life, love and leadership. You will come to admire some characters and despise others. In just a few pages, you will find yourself caught up in the delightful tale."

The story was inspired by Robert Frost and completed from life experiences of the author. Just like Frost said, "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference."

Woodcutter's Revival is about betrayal, forgiveness, leadership, education, hope, and healing. It helps us learn from the past so we do not repeat the lesson we should have learned the first time. Gayle Schlosser, Pastor of the Gathering said, "It is a rare opportunity for readers to follow the journeys of courageous men as they come to terms with their faith and the purpose for their lives.
