Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution To Host Moon Beat Documentary; WHOI's Legendary 'Peanut Butter Club' Set for Cape Cod Premiere Aug 20th

Online, August 16, 2010 (Newswire.com) - (Woods Hole, Cape Cod, MA) - Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution has announced that its celebrated 'Peanut Butter Club' will host the Cape Cod premiere of 'Moon Beat,' the award-winning documentary film which recalls Apollo XI and the 1960's space race and features top news reporters along with key NASA officials. The free screening begins at noon in Redfield Auditorium on Friday, August, 20th and is open to the public.
WHOI's 'Peanut Butter Club' is renowned for presenting a wide range of interesting and thought-provoking films and presentations every Friday at noon. "It is a great honor to present Moon Beat at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution," said Kevin Stirling, director/producer of the film.
Moon Beat revisits President John F. Kennedy's call to go to the moon and the onset of the space race with the Soviet Union, leading to the 1969 flight of Apollo XI.
