Lynette Chandler of Tech Based Marketing walked away with the $25,000 grand prize at this year’s Learn University Conference hosted by Internet marketing authority Armand Morin.

Each year, Morin challenges members of his AM2 program to a contest to Better Your Best. Participants create a plan, take action and grow their business. To encourage them, he offers up $25,000 in cash to the business owner who improves the most.

Contestants have nine months to improve or increase business through focused action, then they must submit an entry package including a detailed before and after financial analysis, a diary of actions taken and their results, marketing samples, and a 750 word essay. In addition, all finalists must take to the stage at Morin’s annual event, held in Phoenix this year, with a five-minute presentation, which is then rated by all attendees.

 The annual contest attracts dozens of hopeful entrepreneurs, each looking to improve their business and—hopefully—go home with the grand prize, $25,000 in cash. This year’s winner, Lynette Chandler of TechBasedMarketing.com, says she had no inkling she would walk away with the cash. In fact, one of the biggest wins for her was the boost in confidence she felt. “This entire experience has blown away any self doubts. I'm definitely more secure in my abilities and in what's possible. I can't wait for the next chapter,” says Ms. Chandler.
