WordTrotter, The First Filipino Video Game On Facebook Requests Philippine President Aquino For Adoption

We have asked him to let us support his efforts to improve education in our nation by having him simply ask each school in the nation to become 'foster parents' to WordTrotter for a mere $7 per school

Gil De Palma, the creator of WordTrotter, the most unique word game in the
world, has put it up for adoption and has made an extraordinary proposal to President Aquino at http://www.facebook.com/adoptwordtrotter and at his personal and official sites.

"We have asked him to let us support his efforts to improve education in our nation by having him simply ask each school in the nation to become 'foster parents' to WordTrotter for a mere $7 per school. If President Aquino announces that, for a donation of only seven dollars, each school can 'adopt' WordTrotter, the schools that decide to do so will be given a password and link to an Internet site where they can download as many playable versions of the word game as the number of students who want to play it. By doing so, we will increase the vocabulary skills of students at all levels and help create a thriving educated work force for the Philippine nation."

This is in addition to the original WordTrotter 'adoption' program whereby Internet users and game players worldwide are able to become a foster parent of the video game WordTrotter for a gift of only $7. De Palma formally put his game up for adoption in three crowdfunding sites-IndieGogo, RocketHub and GoFundMe. It is the latest phase of two hardworking years of development and the start of world wide shared parenthood for what has been dubbed the "World's Coolest Word Game."

"I'm not giving up ownership of WordTrotter," De Palma explained. "Becoming a
foster parent to WordTrotter is like being part of an extended family. I'm sharing the
dream, the challenges and the excitement of sending a video game out into the world
of tablet PC, mobile and social gaming...and the fulfillment that comes with that."

"The unique thing about WordTrotter adoption is that foster parents get to own one
duplicate or clone of the game for every adoption dollar given," he added. "Priced at
$7 each, foster parents can keep them forever, sell them for a profit, or share them
with their friends."

De Palma created WordTrotter to be action oriented word game. The user guides one of the three remaining word bugs of the Wordtrotter Race in a quest to catch mystical alphabet bugs and form the Anti-Spell, a secret magical word that will save the world from being destroyed by the curse of the evil word witch Grimmar.

In order to further its development, he came up with the idea of placing what he fondly calls his "creative child" for adoption. People can choose the kind of foster parenthood and the rewards they want at the following sites:

IndieGoGo http://www.indiegogo.com/adoptwordtrotter asking people there to be Foster Parents for WordTrotter Tablet PC Games

Rockethub http://www.rockethub.com/projects/6816-adopt-the-world-s-coolest-word-game requesting funders onsite to be Foster Parents for WordTrotter Mobile Games

GoFundMe http://www.gofundme.com/adoptwordtrotter appealing to folks to be Foster Parents for WordTrotter Facebook Game

"Giving WordTrotter a new lease on life will only cost foster parents seven dollars," De Palma said, "but the rewards will be tremendous. Also part of my fund raising for this WordTrotter project is devoted to helping 8,000 poor children in Metro Manila go to school and make better lives for themselves.
