WorkNEPA Regional Job Board Relaunched with New Features

Online, February 9, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The WorkNEPA job board, a regional job board available to all Northeastern Pennsylvania employers and job seekers free of charge, was recently redesigned and relaunched with some exciting new additions, at www.worknepa.com.

The WorkNEPA job board was first launched in 2004, but advances in technology called for a redesign of the website. The redesigned WorkNEPA site was launched on January 17, 2011 as a regional talent database and job portal that boasts many new features for its users.

WorkNEPA brings employment opportunities in the 11 counties of NEPA to job seekers in a variety of new ways. Now powered by workforce development platform partner Job Rooster, WorkNEPA provides job search results for jobs that area employers post directly to the site, together with those aggregated via Indeed.com. Just two weeks into the relaunch of the site, there are 50+ jobs posted directly by area employers and over 15,000 aggregated jobs.

Employers who register with the WorkNEPA site can log on to post available jobs and search for potential job candidates. Job seekers are able to upload their resumes to their WorkNEPA profile so that interested employers can view them and contact them directly. This way, both job seekers and employers are involved in the employment search.

One of the most exciting technological features of the new WorkNEPA job board is a mobile component that allows job seekers to receive job postings to their cell phone - and apply wherever they are at the moment, without Internet access. Employers can also use the mobile component to conduct text campaigns to users interested in their company. Job seekers and employers can also link their WorkNEPA profiles with their social media profiles (for Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn) in order to post jobs and resources found on WorkNEPA to social media sites.
