Workout 357 Featured On NBC 11ALIVE & 107.5 Detroit CBS Radio

Online, August 22, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Decatur welcomed the 1st Annual NuFitU health fair in August and Oaktowns 357 unvailed Workout 357 to the community. The event was sponsored by Vita CoCo, LA Fitness, Good Measure Meals, Atlanta Blaze and Harmoni Network. The event was catered to entire family with games and healthy free food.

There were special performances by Atlanta youth (Born To Sing, Lil Ryan (9 years old), Young Vishis (13 years old) and deejay'ed by 12 year old DJ Priest. Oaktown 357's Sweet LD instructed a sample work out from their workout dvd (WorkOut 357) and women instantly knew this work out was meant to make you burn and sweat. Raw Food Chef Jeff Milligan supplied tasty samples from his raw food menu. Personal Trainers Lauren Whitmore and Tammie Leady spoke with attendees about ways to incorporate fitness into their busy lifestyles. BET's Lens of Talent Jebron ended the event with created a hot dish for event attendees.

This event included teaching on how to cook and obtain healthy foods in our area including, organic, raw, vegan, vegetarian, and fresh juices to heal/sustain the body. Various fitness gurus educated the community and taught easy, unique, and fun fitness/dance routines that will keep them fit. Health care professionals were available for questions and health testing

Interviewed by Allhiphop.com in March for Women's History Month, Oaktown's 3.5.7 stated that they were working on a fitness program and they kept their word. Workout 357 is a high energy dance/fitness program that combines world beats with urban flavor and takes Oaktown's 3.5.7. fans on a proverbial trip around the world, while helping teens and adults enjoy being fit. The full project "Workout 357" consists of healthy eating tips, a full workout from Warm Up to Cool Down and discussions with Doctors, nutritionists, as well as, testimonies and struggles. About Oaktowns 357:
The core members of the group Oaktowns 357 were Phyllis Charles (Lil' P), Tabatha King (Terrible T) and Djuana J. Johnican (Sweet L.D.). They began their career in the music and entertainment industry as background dancers in "Hammer's posse", featuring in his music video for "Pump It Up".

Their performances as dancers and their creative side as lyricists drew Hammer's interest, around the time when he was searching for a female singing group to create. After hearing Lil' P rapping on the microphone, rehearsing for a dancing show, Hammer decided to present the idea to all the ladies about becoming vocal performers. Shortly after this suggestion, Oaktown's 3.5.7 was formed.
