Workshop Proposals Invited for 2019 Child Nutrition Conference in Chicago

Call for Workshop Proposals

The National Child Nutrition Conference for CACFP, Afterschool Meals and Summer Foods program will be held in Chicago, IL at the Hyatt Regency Downtown April 22 – 25, 2019. For over 32 years child nutrition program operators, sponsors, state agencies, and the USDA have met together for training so that over 4 million children grow up healthy with access to nutritious foods.

We are seeking presenters who have experience, expertise, passion, research or stories that are effective in inspiring conference attendees to positively influence the daily care and nutrition of children across the nation. Workshops are the most important element of the National Child Nutrition Conference with over 130 hours of programming last year for 1,400 attendees.

We are seeking presenters who have experience, expertise, passion, research or stories that are effective in inspiring conference attendees to positively influence the daily care and nutrition of children across the nation.

Workshops welcomed focus on CACFP operations, Summer Food Service Program site expansion, Head Start success, nutrition research, menu planning, nonprofit and financial management, organizational showcase, and resource spotlight.

NCA invites interested parties nationwide to submit workshop proposals for an opportunity to speak at the nutrition conference. Proposals will be accepted online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2019WKSProposal​ through Monday, Sept. 17 at noon Eastern Standard Time.

ABOUT: The National Child Nutrition Conference is hosted by the National CACFP Sponsors Association (NCA), a membership-based, nonprofit organization. Year-round NCA serves as a resource for education and operation support for sponsors who administer the CACFP. Founded in 1986, the annual conference has been the premier training event for the CACFP community since then.
