World of Art by Sergey Dyagilev in Domodedovo
A new exposition of the State Tretyakov Gallery masterpieces was opened on December 22 2009 in Moscow Domodedovo Airport in the framework of the project "Art. New Vision".
Online, December 28, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Passengers and visitors of the airport may enjoy the works of the Silver Age painters - members of the World of Art group. Now the masterpieces are presented in 3D format. The exposition will reveal the world famous works of Mikhail Vrubel, Alexandre Benois, Konstantin Somov, Nikolay Rerikh, Victor Vasnetsov and other painters.
Sergey Dyagilev considered as an outstanding man of art as he was one of those who established the World of Art group which is a part of the Russian cultural heritage.
The exposition was organized by Domodedovo Art Gallery in partnership with a communication group JM Communications, Visual Innovations company and the State Tretyakov Gallery.
The exhibition space in Moscow Domodedovo Airport - Domodedovo Art Gallery has been in use for about three years. The number of expositions held in the Gallery for these years totals 25. They were dedicated to works of graffiti painters and photographers, beauty of faraway countries, anniversaries and competitions.
Current Gallery exhibition is the first ever innovative exposition Art. New Vision providing unusual 3D demonstration of the Tretyakov Gallery masterpieces.
The project has become the next step under the long-term international program being implemented by JM Communications and Visual Innovations. The project is aimed to promote art through the use of the latest technologies as well as attract world's interest to masterpieces of Russian painting.
Domodedovo is the largest airport of Russia and the Eastern Europe, the number-one Russian airport in terms of passenger traffic. Its share in general volume of passenger traffic in Moscow Traffic Control Area (TMA) makes 45,7 % (calculated for 11 months of this year). In 2008 Domodedovo airport provided services for 20,4 mln. passengers.
