World Unity 2012 Set to Broadcast the 2012 Mayan Festival

Online, October 9, 2012 (Newswire.com) - December 21, 2012, which points to the occurrence of the winter solstice, marks the completion of the 5,126 year cycle of the Mayan calendar. Mayan civilizations have been embraced in parts of Guatemala, Belize, Honduras and Mexico, which are home to archaeological sites that honor the great empire. As the Mayan calendar heads for a reset, believers all around the world are gearing up for 2012 Mayan Festival celebrations honoring the civilization.
Ushering the resetting of the Mayan calendar on winter solstice, a four-day global gathering, Synthesis 2012, is set to happen on from December 20th to the 23rd, 2012. The historic event will be held in Piste Pueblo and Chichen Itza in the Yucatan, the heart of the Mayan civilization, where the temple of Quetzalcoatl - considered home to 2012 Mayan myths and prophecies - rests.
