World's First Adjustable Barrel Bolt Lock Among New Solutions on Offer at Dubai Trade Show's Dedicated Area

The world's first adjustable barrel bolt lock is making its way to the Middle East, solving the most frequent and frustrating problems faced by construction contractors, homeowners, apartment tenants

Dubai, UAE: The world’s first adjustable barrel bolt lock is making its way to the Middle East, solving the most frequent and frustrating problems faced by construction contractors, homeowners, apartment tenants – and anyone who has ever used a public bathroom.

Ajustlock is a simple, yet effective solution to the misalignment of traditional barrel locks that prevent doors, gates and stalls from locking properly.  The key to its effectiveness is the latch which automatically shifts vertically when the pin is inserted, meaning even the most shoddy DIY installation job will look as though it’s done by a professional.

Invented by American manufacturer Ajustco, the patent-pending lock will be launched at the upcoming Hardware+Tools Middle East 2016 trade show in Dubai, and is dubbed as the ‘hero’ of commercial or DIY locking solutions for doors, gates, windows – and of course public bathrooms, saving users from potentially embarrassing moments.

Jason Stile, CEO and Co-founder of Ajustco, said the plan is to roll out Ajustlock throughout Middle East hardware stores: “Barrel bolt locks haven’t changed in almost 100 years, and annoying door shift and lock misalignment issues have gone unresolved, until now,” said Stile.

Ajustco is expanding and increasing global market share for Ajustlock, and the Middle East is a source of infrastructure changes, from new construction projects to re-modelling, where individuals and contractors are more in tune with innovation and novelty.  And that is what Ajustlock is about – a reinvention, an innovation, and a novelty to solve a problem and make life comfortable in a secure, simple and smart way.”

Ajustco will be one of many product launches at Hardware+Tools Middle East 2016, the region’s dedicated trade show for hardware, tools, materials and machinery, which takes place from 23-25 May at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

It will share centre-stage with products from other global manufacturers at the three-day event’s Expert Zone, a dedicated area showcasing the latest innovative solutions that are shaping the future of tools used for all types of industries, from construction and oil & gas, to outdoor landscaping and DIY solutions.

Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of Messe Frankfurt Middle East, the organiser of Hardware+Tools Middle East, said: “The Expert Zone is ideal for regional trade visitors, contractors, retailers, and key decision makers who’re looking for equipment upgrades, or for the latest hardware and machinery that will positively impact their day-to-day operations.”

“Products showcased in this section are an indication of new developments that are shaping the future of the industry, and provide regional buyers an indication of things to come.”

Returning to Hardware+Tools Middle East’s Expert Zone in 2016 is Knipex, the renowned German maker of professional pliers used for a wide range of industries and applications.

Manuel Pawlak, Product Manager at Knipex, said the company is looking to grow its presence in the Middle East by expanding its distribution channels: “Lately, we’re putting more focus on industries such as electrical, aviation, and industrial, while the focus in terms of our products is going towards cable working tools such as cutting, insulation stripping, and crimping tools,” said Pawlak.

“The latest Innovations we’re showcasing at the Expert Zone include our Cobra Waterpump pliers, pliers wrench, electrical installation pliers, high performance diagonal cutters, and compact bolt cutters.”

Other international companies at the Expert Zone include Italian company Vipa, a world-leading manufacturer of plastic articles oriented to the hardware, hydraulics, electronic and healthcare sectors; Channellock from the USA; and Wiha from Germany, which produces a wide range precision tools.

Hardware+Tools Middle East is a magnet for trade buyers from across the Middle East and North Africa, including distributors, retailers, exporters, importers, contractors, fabricators, consultants and industry professionals involved in the construction and industrial sectors.

The 17th edition will feature Country Pavilions from China, Thailand and Taiwan, and will host more than 200 exhibitors from 11 countries representing over 300 brands.
