World's First Digital Map Rental Service For Education

Online, August 25, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Those in the industry will have noticed over recent years Mapyx Quo stealing a march in the digital mapping market, regularly picking up awards and accreditations, most notably being the Official Digital Mapping Partner to Mountain Rescue.

So how does this fit for the schools market? Well Mapyx, the organisation behind Quo, has this month pulled off another first. This allows students and teachers to use and access their award winning maps at subsidised prices.

Currently available is the Ordnance Survey 50k Landranger GB Map which students and staff can rent for 3 months. National Parks at Ordnance Survey 1:25k are coming soon - which will be perfect for planning walks for school trips.
