Would You Buy a Home From a Used Car Saleswoman?

Most Laguna Beach Homes for Sale have price tags in the millions. So, would you buy a home in this Beachfront community from a real estate agent that does video marketing in a style most like used car salesman Cal Worthington?

Would you buy one of the high-end Laguna Beach Homes for Sale from a Real Estate agent that was hawking her goods in the style of famed used car salesman Cal Worthington?

That is what at least one YouTube viewer asked as they watched Hillary Caston's latest real estate video.

No, there wasn't a cameo appearance by anything resembling her "dog spot"; however, she does suggest a solution if you have bladder problems.

This is just the next video to come out of her team's out of the box video marketing strategy. Realtors have been told for years that videos were the next rage to market their homes for sale. The problem has been that in many cases the cost of producing the video has been pretty high. And, in the opinion of Hillary, they are pretty boring too.

So her creative team came up with a series of videos dubbed the "Break-In" series where Hillary is sneaking into various Laguna Beach Homes for Sale. The result? Thousands of hits to her videos and 3 home sales in record time, in a down market.

But the question from many of her peers is whether or not a buyer of a multi-million dollar piece of real estate in Laguna Beach would take such a woman seriously. Here is an agent dressing up in camo gear, pretending to be a maid, or donning an all black cat suit and getting stuck in an elevator. And...doing it on camera!

In answer to that question, Hillary Caston was the recipient of the Chairman's Circle Platinum Award given to the top 1% of Prudential Agents nationwide. An agent must earn between $500,000 and $749,999 in gross commission income to be eligible.

She was also the buyer's agent on a 22 million dollar sale, the 3rd largest sale in Laguna Beach for 2009. The business professional that purchased this Laguna Beach Home was confident in his agent's negotiating abilities, and so have been countless other buyers over the years.

What Hillary is doing is simply what other strong, successful, and funny business women have done before her. Think of women like Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball, or Dolly Parton. These are all women that entertained their audiences with a product, and then built an empire. You can't do that by faking it. You have to have an acute business sense in order to compete with "the big boys".
