Wrike Launches New Cross-Company Collaboration on Its Scalable Project Management Platform

Wrike's new cross-account collaboration capabilities let different companies work together on projects in one system, enjoying both scalability and privacy.

Wrike, a leading provider of online project management software, today unveiled new cross-account collaboration capabilities that allow companies to easily share projects with other organizations using Wrike and conveniently collaborate on them within one scalable platform. A company can work with several external partners and other collaborators in a single workspace, safely giving them access to shared projects, while the internal projects remain private.

With selective sharing in Wrike, it was always a breeze to invite clients, contractors, partners and freelancers to collaborate on shared projects. As more and more companies choose Wrike for project management and collaboration, it often happens that many of their external collaborators want to manage their own projects in Wrike, too. Wrike's customer base keeps growing at an impressive pace. As of Q1 2013, the number of paid customers increased two-fold, compared to the same period of 2012. To make cross-account collaboration more convenient, flexible and secure for all parties, Wrike addressed this need with the current release.

"When Wrike was conceived, we had a vision that in a matter of time, Wrike would be a platform not only for collaboration of teams inside a company, but also with partners, contractors, clients, everyone you work with. I'm excited to see that this prediction is coming true now," said Andrew Filev, Wrike's founder and CEO. "Today, thousands of teams are connected with Wrike's work graph. Whether they want to engage clients in the projects, need to plug in freelancers or need help from an external consultancy on some assignments, it's easy with Wrike's powerful blend of flexibility, ease of use and privacy."

Specifically for inviting people from other accounts, Wrike added a new license type: external user. The new account management system is instantly available to all new signups and is being gradually rolled out to the existing accounts.
