Online, October 28, 2010 (Newswire.com) - "'What is a perfect day? Imagine what a perfect day would be like and write it down. How would you feel on the perfect day? Think about it! Write about it!" That's just one of the questions author Beatrice Young asks young readers in the Scribble Scrabble Writing Journal for Kids (Etosha Publications, 2009)
This journal is a wonderful tool for teachers and parents who wish to encourage children to build solid writing and storytelling skills. What makes the Scribble Scrabble Writing Journal for Kids different is how it inspires children to experience the joy of writing in a simple, spontaneous way.
"When I was in 1st grade my teacher assigned the class to write a poem," says author Beatrice Young. "I decided to write mine for my mother. When I showed it to her she acted as if it was the greatest thing since ice cream. I was so proud of myself I wrote more, and have been writing ever since."

About Beatrice M. Young, Author of Scribble Scrabble Writing Journal for Kids
Ms. Young has been writing since she was 6-years-old, thanks to her mother's encouragement. After experiencing the profound benefits of more than 32 years of journaling, she decided to create the Scribble Scrabble Writing Journal to encourage today's children to do the same. After using one of the Journal's story starters in a children's writing workshop, she was amazed at the stories the students told, and knew she was onto something. She believes that if the journal teaches just one child to resort to words instead of drugs, crime, or other self-destructive behaviors, she will have accomplished her mission.
