Writer's Walk On Water Lands In National Magazine

DC Native's Memoir Gives Hope to Readers and a Feature Story to Black Enterprise

Washington, DC - Less than one month after releasing her first self-published book, Walking On Water When the Ground Ain't Enuf, Stanice Anderson was interviewed by Black Enterprise about her amazing life story and now she is a featured spread on newsstands in the March issue on pages 76-77.

"I wrote this book to help people dealing with or affected by any kind of addiction. My intention was to write it in a way that is easily digested and received. Black Enterprise has given me an international platform for my story and I am very grateful because addiction is an international problem," said Anderson.

A former heroin addict with 25-years clean and sober, Anderson is now an inspirational speaker, performance artist, and author. Her second Christian-based memoir, Walking On Water, plunges head first into her pain and emerges restored in her recovery process. With stories like homeless-man-turned-superstar, Ted Williams, in the news, people know that anything is possible; but, with that comes a process to be better. Anderson gives her proven case study in this book.

Walking On Water is meant to read like an intimate conversation through a series of chapters that range from "Faith Laughs" to "Faith Lets Go." Each chapter is applicable to readers' everyday lives like devotionals but twists that genre through an entertaining mix of dialogue, descriptive life stories, spokentry, prayers and scriptures. The book also includes a bonus Reflection/Discussion Guide for personal discovery and book clubs.

Anderson chose to self-publish her second memoir after her first, I Say A Prayer For Me, was published through Warner Books (now Hachette). She publishes Walking On Water through her company Shout Glory, LLC and co-publishes with her son, Mike Tucker, Jr.

Anderson had full creative control of the entire project including the powerful and vibrant front cover, which includes a rendering of the author done by singer Raheem DeVaughn's visual artist, Demont Peekaso Pinder.

Anderson's book is available wherever major books are sold and now available as an eBook on all eReader platforms.
