YOUNG ARTISTS FOR HAITI, the First International Collaboration by Top Young Classical Musicians, Releases Video to Raise Awareness and Donation for the Earthquake Relief Efforts in Haiti and Chile

10 of the brightest young musicians from 7 countries and 4 continents gave world's first global virtual performance by child artists. Their cross cultural collaboration is a plea for your help for the earthquake relief efforts in Haiti and Chile

"Young Artists for Haiti", a global grassroots project started and organized by a 4th grader and his family in Princeton, NJ to help the Haiti relief efforts, has just released their benefit video and expanded their call for help to include Chile earthquake victims.

The ambitious project featured some of the world's brightest rising classical talents performing the Chopin Nocturne in C# Minor together - virtually. By releasing the beautiful and healing melody internationally through online video sites including Youtube, the artists hoped to help raise awareness for the continued support of the earthquake relief efforts, and plead in their native languages for donation to the worldwide Red Cross branches.

The group of young artists includes world-famous pianists and top winners of national and prestigious international piano competitions. They have frequented the national TV shows and performed for top government officials in their countries. The group speaks languages that cover half of world's population and boasts over 11,000 Youtube subscribers.

On March 1, 2010 - the 200th anniversary of the great composer Chopin's birthday - the "Young Artists for Haiti" project officially released their collaboration video on their Youtube channel (http://youtube.com/ya4haiti) as well as their official website http://YA4Haiti.org. Additionally, through their website, donations to Red Cross will be accepted using a special page set up by the American Red Cross for this international project.

Their video marks the first global benefit event by classical musicians for the victims of the recent earthquakes. The entire project was also created, organized, video edited, and promoted entirely by the participants and volunteers with zero budget, but with a lot of heart and willingness to help the people of Haiti and Chile.
