Young Tornado Survivor Publishes Book About Heaven

Young tornado survivor, Ari Hallmark, publishes book about seeing family go to Heaven

Ari Hallmark, a victim in the April 27, 2011, tornado that struck Arab, Ala., has published a book titled To Heaven After the Storm with InstantPublisher.

In the book, Hallmark depicts her tornado experience in vivid detail as well as her quick trip to Heaven with five of her family members who passed away that day, including her mother and father. She co-authored the book with her mentor, Dr. Lisa Reburn.

Hallmark, now 7 years old, began meeting with Reburn on a weekly basis in fall 2011 following the storm. Reburn quickly realized that Ari's story about the immediacy and reality of Heaven had to be shared with others.

"When Ari described seeing her family members go to Heaven, it was unlike anything I'd ever heard before. It's the kind of story that gives you chills," says Reburn. "I knew we could write and publish a book about it, and I knew the book would pave the way for Ari to share her remarkable experiences."

Hallmark and Reburn worked on developing the book for about six months and had it printed at InstantPublisher, a short-run self publishing company in Collierville, Tenn.

Copies of the book are currently being sold at Heaven Bound Christian Bookstore and Jones Pharmacy in Arab. Both businesses will also be accepting preorders for $21.50 for the second printing. Proceeds from the book will go toward publishing a curriculum called "Treasure Boxes" that will be free for any organization or individuals interested in helping children through visitations, funerals and grief.
