Your Time Publishing Authors Invited to Auction Books And Personal Readings At WYES Auction

Online, October 11, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Sherry Milam's, "The Red Feather" is a cultural archive written as a children's book. A young boy embarks on a musical and magical adventure following a red feather and a man with a tambourine on a journey with New Orleans' own Mardi Gras Indians! The young boy meets each member of a Mardi Gras Indian tribe and in the end the history and the mystery is revealed. Paulette Jones', "Herstory: Revelations", a New Orleans based historical fiction about a family tradition, and its effects on a generation; and her tween book "Girls' Day Out: The Adventure" chronicling a gift of adventure and imagination given to three adolescent girls by their doting aunties. And Kima Richard's, "Possibilities", Meet History and Heritage Hanks, a brother and sister duo from New Orleans, Louisiana. History and Heritage teach readers valuable lessons through their own self-discovery and explorations. Join History and Heritage on their first journey, as they explore life's possibilities. They will all be featured donations on WYES Action Auction. Each author has donated a signed copy of their book and a personal reading of the book at an event chosen by the winning bidder. This auction takes place on October 12th and 13th, 4pm-midnight, Cox channel 12, New Orleans.

The auction will benefit the local television station WYES. WYES is a partnership between citizens, foundations, businesses and local, state and federal governments, working together toward the education and development of our community.
