Your Time Publishing, LLC Signs New Orleans Children's Book Author Deandrea Green

Online, August 8, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Your Time Publishing announces the signing of freshmen author Deandrea Green. A New Orleans, Louisiana native found her voice early, at the age of 12; she discovered a passion for writing. Whatever situations she experienced she would jot them down as a means of relaxation. In July 2004 the home that she and her family shared burned to the ground. She lost just about everything including 3 notebooks full of original literature. This led her to lose focus and passion. For years she disregarded her true talents which led her to dabble in a few majors while in college. Growing up in a big family, being the oldest of five children, and her love for children was her inspiration to finally major in Early Childhood Education at Delgado Community College. Her love for children and her beautiful niece inspired her to write this children's book. She finds great joy in mentoring children. Deandrea recently made a promise to herself to "Live Out Loud" and that includes living her dream as a published author.

She has created the character Joydyn an eight year old little girl from New Orleans. The little girl wants to learn to skate, something all of her friends can already do, but the weather will not let up. Her mother uses her resourcefulness to find a way to give her daughter her greatest wish. Joydyn learns to never give up and that all things are possible even in the face of adversity.

Not only will the book be made available through online sources like Barnes and Noble, Amazon.com, and Books A Million and publishers online web-site www.yourtimepublishing.com but it will also be available at local New Orleans book stores and skating rinks.

Ms. Green will be involved with schools, libraries, and other organizations involving kids by doing readings and other events on a regular basis.
