Your Time Publishing's Author Paulette Jones Celebrates Dr. Seuss' Read Across America Day
Online, March 6, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Your Time Publishing author Paulette Jones couldn't wait for today. The plans went into effect last year after her book was auctioned off at the WYES annual auction. The Community Day School was the recipient of the winning bid. The prize was not only a signed copy of her book, but a personal appearance and reading by the author. Paulette Jones is also the author of Girls' Day Out: The Adventure, Her First Sleep Over, The Brass Band Gig, and two adult novels. She is a native New Orleanian, and a John McDonogh High School alumnus. She believes in community participation and volunteers her time at local schools and nonprofit organizations.
ABC's On The Streets Of New Orleans, is a colorful look at our unique street names with photos and a little bit of street history. When the author got to the last letter "Z" Zimple or Zimpel was the street, one of the little girls said, "Did you say Zimple? I live on Zimple Street." She was obviously moved.
