Online, April 28, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Pangaea River Rafting created two different rafting trips for Mother's Day, both are close to Spokane, Coeur d' Alene and Missoula. The owner of Pangaea River Rafting, David Lawrence said about the trips, "I was trying to create something unique that would bring the family together or give mother's a chance to get outside and do something different."

The river wine floats start on the shore. After getting into life jackets and listening to a quick briefing, participants get in the raft and get ready to do nothing but sit back, relax, soak in the scenery, nibble on delicious foods and sip locally crafted wines from Spokane wine makers.

"We want them to enjoy nature behind a wine glass," Lawrence said of the wine float. Participants often watch eagles and osprey fish from above and occasionally see deer and beaver foraging on shore. Lawrence said that the trips, approximately 1.5 hours long, seem to go by too fast for guests.

"When you're out there on the river, you lose track of time. Eating delicious foods and sipping mouth watering wines adds to the relaxed atmosphere," Lawrence said.

On the Mother's Day whitewater trip, there won't be time to sip wine, but there will be plenty of time to get wet, laugh and scream with delight. The whitewater trips are perfect for never ever rafters because the whitewater is exciting, but not too big. There's plenty of time for relaxing and soaking in the beauty of the river between rapids.
