Zohar African Safaris Focusing on Building Partnerships with U.S. Travel Agents, Featuring 15% Commission
Commissionable Packages, Online Booking and Streamlined Payment System Are Among Agent-Friendly Changes
Lancaster, Pennsylvania, January 14, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Zohar African Safaris (ZAS) is making an all-out effort to grow its business in the U.S. with the support of travel agents. To achieve that goal, the four-year old company that specializes in custom-tailored safari tours in East Africa has introduced a selection of expertly planned, commissionable packages with fixed departure dates. An online booking form for the preplanned packages and an improved payment system for both pre-planned packages and customized safaris have also been implemented.
Preplanned Themed Packages and 15% Commission
Ranging from 5 to 10 days in length, the new preplanned packages encompass Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi. Each package is designed around a theme, such as “Wildlife Overview”, “Family Safari”, “Cultural Safari”, and “Adventure Safari”. There are fixed departure dates for each package from June through December 2015, with only a minimum of two passengers required per departure. ZAS is offering agents 15% commission on all land arrangements (including optional extensions) for all bookings through March 31. Beginning April 1, the commission will be 12%.
Online Booking, Streamlined Payment System, and Other Agent-Friendly Improvements
To facilitate booking the new preplanned packages, ZAS’ website now features a new online booking form for agents’ use. Deposits and final payments for both preplanned packages and customized safaris can be made by credit card using the new form. Travel agents will receive their commissions on preplanned packages no later than 14 days from the date the final payment is processed, and all commission payments will be issued from ZAS’ U.S. office.
“We are committed to developing and conducting programs that go beyond the traditional wildlife safari tour to provide the authentic, immersive, and inspiring experiences that today’s travelers are seeking,” said Dr. Ken Firestone, ZAS’ co-founder and managing director for the U.S. and global markets. “Now that we have fine tuned our programs and operations, and made the necessary improvements in our internal systems, we are ready to reach out to a wider audience through the development of strong travel agency partnerships.” ZAS is headquartered in Arusha, Tanzania, where safari operations are overseen by the company’s co-founder and owner, Lilian Maximillian. The company’s U.S. office is located in Lancaster Pennsylvania. For details on all packages and services, visit www.zoharafricansafaris.com.
