ZOMM Named Finalist in Bluetooth Special Interest Group's "Best of CES" Award
ZOMM, World's First Wireless Leash for cell phones, recognized in 6th Annual Awards
Online, January 3, 2011 (Newswire.com) - ZOMM, LLC (zomm.com), a global technology company and developer of the world's first Wireless Leash for cell phones, announces its selection as a finalist in the Bluetooth Special Interest Group's (SIG) 6th Annual Best of CES 2011 Awards. ZOMM is being recognized as one of the most innovative, Bluetooth-enabled devices of the year, and the category winners and overall winning product will officially be announced on Jan. 7, 2011. All new products and features will be on display at CES 2011 in the North Hall, Booth #1035C in the New Products Marketplace area.
Using Bluetooth technology, the keychain-sized ZOMM prevents users from losing or misplacing their mobile phone by vibrating, flashing lights and sounding an alarm when they separate from their phone. With added features of call notification, a fully functional speakerphone for hands-free communication and emergency-services calling capabilities, ZOMM is the ultimate multi-functional accessory for any Bluetooth-enabled phone. New accessories, colors and features are being announced at CES 2011, making the device a must-have product for the mobile lifestyle.
"It is exciting to recognized by such a respectable organization as Bluetooth SIG for our innovative use of Bluetooth technology," Henry Penix, CEO of ZOMM, LLC. "The awards put ZOMM on the same stage as major players like Samsung and LG - further strengthening our position as an emerging global technology company."
A record number of devices were submitted for consideration for the awards. Each product was carefully reviewed and judged by the Bluetooth SIG based on a variety of criteria including interoperability testing, containing expected profiles and ease of use. Bonus points were awarded to those products that included Experience Icons on the product packaging or the product website, and also for products utilizing the newly adopted Bluetooth v4.0 specification.
Category winners and an overall winner will be announced at the "Tweet House It Won't Stay in Vegas" party at the Atomic Testing Museum the evening of Jan. 7, 2011 during the International Consumer Electronics Show.
